Welcome to the world of Inheritors, a high-octane, rules-spicy, tech-fueled dive into the planet's wild and writhing decay! A world where your life is tied to your vehicle, and your vehicle is tied to the remnants of automated gas station chains.

WHAT IS THIS GAME?

Inheritors is a tabletop game meant to be played with one Ref and 1-5 players as they explore the world, take on bounties, challenge races, and make their name in the wasteland! It's recommended to play the game with makeshift miniatures to keep track of who's where, but the game is completely gridless and eschews tactical specificity in favor of bombastic action and adventure.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

Do you like the apocalyptic beauty of Stellar Blade or Nier? Excited by the heart pounding speed of Red Line or Mad Max? Perhaps inspired by the speculative technology of Trigun or Forever Winter? If you love these touchstones and more, we're probably the same kind of sicko and hopefully the setting of Inheritors will scratch that sci-fi itch in its own twisted way~

Mechanically the game is "Rule-Spicy" - Light enough to teach as you go, but with plenty of depth and levers to pull. There aren't "classes" in the traditional sense, but there are plenty of character options. Generally speaking you roll d10 under your stats to both attack and defend, the lower the better. But FLOW adds a stylish-action inspired wrinkle: At the start of each round you'll roll d10 equal to your flow that can be used in place of rolling. This way you can confidently throw yourself into the fray, save up your Flow for a flawless defense, or even take advantage of Combo weapons to carve through the battlefield! When you get behind the wheel of a vehicle, things start getting a little more complicated as your ride's ever increasing Havoc threatens to throw you off the road ~

The game is designed to be played with simple miniature markers and no grid, ensuring lateral thinking and mechanical mastery provide equal opportunity for spectacular turns ~

IS THIS GAME DONE?

Sort of? There's a lot under review, plenty of lingering typos, I'd like to add some art and this is already the game's 3rd major revision, but I'd say it's sufficiently "done" for now (Though vehicular combat may see more adjustments to further tune speed and ease of play while not sacrificing mechanical depth). I work full-time, so this is very much a hobby project, but I hope to keep adding more as I go! The next public release you'll probably see is "The Blind" - A smaller stand-alone Hex Crawl designed to show off everything an Inheritors campaign can be. Alternatively I may end up releasing other content that still needs art like the Sclerotia manual "Corpse Chariot" or the Human manual "Born Perfect" ~ While I have no timeline for these releases, always feel free to reach out if you'd like to see preview material!
